ALL THE EVENTS ON DAY 1
On Friday the 22nd of February the Australian Poker Tour kicks off with day 1 of our 3 days events. Players have the choice of playing 4 events on the day which include playing 1 or both flights of the Main Event, the Super High Roller, the One Shot freezout and the Short Deck. To make sure you don’t miss out on the times here is all the info you need to know about day 1.
There are 2 flights for the $85,000 Ladbrokes Main Event. Registration for Flight 1A starts at 12 noon, the game starts at 1pm and late registration is until 3:35pm. Flight 2 of the Main Event opens for registration at 6pm, the game starts at 7pm with late registration open until 9:35pm. Both of these flight have 1 Re-Entry available for players. Entry to this event is $175 ($150+$25) blind levels are 20 minutes each until day 2 where they will increase to 30 minutes. This event has a Big Blind Ante starting at level 5. Players also start this event with 30,000 in tournament chips.
At 2pm event 2 opens for registration, this is the Upswing Poker-One Shot Freezeout that has a $2,000 guarantee. The game starts at 3pm with late registration open until 4:45pm. As the name suggests its a freezout! Entry to this event is $50 ($40+$10). There are no Antes for this event, blind levels are 15 minutes each and players start with 15,000 in tournament chips. The winner of this tournament will also earn themselves an Upswing Poker No-Limit Holdem Poker Training course for 6 months, valued at $299.
Event 3, the Super High Roller $75,000 guarantee, is a 2 day event. Last season at the Gold Coast this event had a massive prize pool of $123,000! Registration opens at 3pm and stays open until the commencement of day 2. The event itself starts at 4pm. The blind levels are 40 minutes each with a Big Blind Ante starting at level 2. Players will play until the end of level 12 and will return for day 2. For this event dealers will be supplied. Entry to this event is $1,150 ($1,025+$125) and players start with 75,000 in tournament chips, this event also has unlimited Re-Entries available.
Last event for the day is the Upswing Poker-Short Deck Holdem. Registration is open from 8pm, game starts at 9pm with registration open until 10:45pm. This game may be new to some players so here are a few changes that players need to be aware of. Game play is the same as standard No-Limit Holdem except that the decks have had the cards ranked 2-3-4-5 removed. An Ace can be counted as a high or low (i.e. as the 5). Flushes beat Full-houses and Trips beat Straights. Entry to this event is $50 ($40+$10) there is a Big Blind Ante starting in level 5, blind levels are 15 minutes each. Players will start with 20,000 in tournament chips and re-Entries are available for this event. The winner of this tournament will also earn themselves an Upswing Poker No-Limit Holdem Poker Training course for 6 months, valued at $299.
On top of these 4 events there will be Sit and Go Satellites available to the Main Event, High Roller as well as the Super High Roller running all day.
